Introduction
In the early 1980s, to address the transportation needs of city residents crossing the Yangtze River and the Jialing River, the Chongqing Yangtze River Cable Car and the Jialing River Cable Car were constructed. Later, with the extensive construction of bridges, the cable cars gradually phased out of use. After the Jialing River Cable Car was dismantled, the Yangtze River Cable Car was preserved as a historical attraction.
